The Fairhaven Cultural Council is currently in the process of reviewing the LCC grants submitted for the 2012 grant cycle. We had 26 applicants for both field trip grants and regular LCC grants. The council will be voting on the awards this month with a total of $5586 in available funds to distribute.Projects are judged based on the state and local guidelines, with special attention to our council's funding priorities:
• Priority will be given to first-time applicants in Fairhaven.
• Successful proposals will demonstrate a clear benefit to Fairhaven residents.
• Priority will be given to grants for programs or projects that take place in and/or are specifically related to the culture and history of Fairhaven.
Applicants can expect to hear from the council with the results of our voting in late November to early December. Thanks to all who took the time and effort to apply.
