Funds distributed from the Massachusetts Cultural Council and the Town of Fairhaven help develop a variety of cultural programming that benefit the children and residents of Fairhaven and its surrounding towns.
“Each year we get such great applications, and we aim to fund as many diverse projects as we are able to, including school performances, local art shows, field trips, and concerts,” says Kristine Daniels, council chairperson.
The Fairhaven Cultural Council aims to bring a mix of cultural programming to people of all ages living in the community. This year, we awarded 15 projects, including internships in the arts and several concerts, performances, and art shows. Overall, these projects have the potential to reach hundreds of local residents and students.
“We encourage everyone to get out there and support arts and cultural programming – there are so many amazing educational and entertaining programs produced locally,” says Daniels.
