LCC Grant Applications Due OCTOBER 15

Fairhaven's Local Cultural Council grant application season begins Sept. 15, 2013. The council will be considering proposals for projects taking place in 2014.

Projects and programs focusing on the arts and humanities qualify to be supported through Local Cultural Council grants. Examples of appropriate projects include exhibits, festivals, field trips, concerts, theatrical productions, short-term artist residencies, in-school performances, after school programs, workshops and lectures.

Priority will be given to first-time applicants in Fairhaven. Successful proposals will demonstrate a clear benefit to Fairhaven residents and priority will be given to grants for programs or projects that take place in and/or are specifically related to the culture and history of Fairhaven. Projects or programs funded must take place between January 1, 2014 and December 31, 2014.

Note: Grant monies are awarded through reimbursement; all grant recipients will be expected to submit receipts or invoices as proof of appropriate project expenditures upon requesting reimbursement.

Applications are due OCTOBER 15, 2013.
Late or incomplete applications are not eligible for consideration.
The Fairhaven Cultural Council is supported and funded by the Massachusetts Cultural Council and the Town of Fairhaven. All applicants must adhere to both state and local guidelines to be eligible.
