A Song and Story Celebration

Celebrate the joy of reading and music in a performance for all ages!

On Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at 10:30 a.m., the Millicent Library presents two Parents’ Choice Award-winning performers, Davis Bates & Roger Tincknell, in "Imagine That: A Song and Story Celebration".

This performance is being held at the FAIRHAVEN TOWN HALL on 40 Center Street and admission is free.

Davis and Roger have over four decades of combined performing experience, providing hundreds of performances in schools, libraries and other community settings. Their warm and participatory programs involve audiences in a wide variety of cultural heritages.

Davis and Roger have both received Parents' Choice awards for their most recent recordings. Davis won a Gold Award for Family Stories (which was named one of the ten best audio recordings of 1996 by Booklist magazine), and Roger won an Honor Award for Earth Rhythms, an environmental album, and Silver Honors for Carnavalito, one of his recent CDs.

This program is part of the Summer Reading Program “Dream Big: Read!”  funded by grants from the Fairhaven Cultural Council, a local agency supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, and by the Friends of the Millicent Library.
