The Working Waterfront Festival on the scenic New Bedford waterfront is this weekend, Sept, 24 & 25, 2011.The 2011 Theme is Then & Now: Tradition and Innovation in New England's Working Ports. Here you can visit the deck of a scalloper, learn to mend a fishing net, and see Coast Guard rescue demonstrations. There will also be live entertainment, local vendors and, of course, some of the most fresh and delicious seafood in the world!
