Independence Day weekend means it's not only our nation's birthday, it's also time for the annual Greater New Bedford Summerfest Folk Festival on Saturday, July 2 and Sunday, July 3, 2011. With contemporary and traditional folk music, food, vendors, music workshops, arts & crafts and more, this is a family-friendly event and a great opportunity to explore the beautiful New Bedford waterfront and historic downtown area.
