If you enjoy the arts and culture and are interested in serving your community, the Fairhaven Cultural Council is seeking new members. New and prospective members who are residents of Fairhaven are invited to apply.
Council members are appointed by the Board of Selectmen and oversee the awarding and distribution of grant monies from the Massachusetts Cultural Council and local funds for projects in the arts and humanities that directly benefit Fairhaven residents.
The council usually meets on Monday evenings for only three to four formal voting meetings throughout the year, and on an as-needed basis for other council business. Currently, the council meets remotely on Zoom, and will continue to do so until further notice. All parts of the grant application process are accessed online as well. Members must have access to necessary computer technology and internet access to participate.
