The Fairhaven Cultural Council is pleased to announce its 2016 Local Cultural Council (LCC) grant application cycle is now open! The group was recently awarded $6100 from the Massachusetts Cultural Council and $1,000 from the Town of Fairhaven, providing a total of $7100 in funds available to community organizations and schools providing cultural programs to Fairhaven residents during the 2016 calendar year.
Those interested in applying can pick up application hard copies at the Selectmen’s Office in the Fairhaven Town Hall, or download forms online at http://www.mass-culture.org/Fairhaven. Most grants fall under the basic LCC application, but there is also a specific LCC Field Trip Grant application form if that applies to your project.
Completed applications and required documents can be hand-delivered to the Selectmen’s Office at Town Hall or mailed to 40 Center Street, Fairhaven, MA 02719, and must be postmarked no later than 4:00pm on October 15, 2015. Applicants must read all guidelines and requirements thoroughly to ensure their application may be considered. State and local grant guidelines are found at http://www.mass-culture.org/Fairhaven. Priority will be given to first-time applicants and to programs or projects that are specifically related to the culture and history of Fairhaven.
